We have an exciting new role at a top IT distributor currently seeking a Senior Sales Executive to join our ever-growing sales team. We are uniquely placed with our experience in the assembly, testing and validation of high-performance bespoke solutions that have been designed to meet a client’s/projects exact requirement. Combined with our ability to turn around a fully bespoke platform including client specific branding, documentation, packaging and global on-site maintenance packages, we strive to provide a genuine range of value-added services to our partners.

With plenty of room for growth within the role, you will learn our industry, vendors and solutions to develop and implement comprehensive product launch plans that includes products, services and test drives. You will be a fast learner who isn’t afraid to hit the ground running and work pro-actively.

We’re a fast-paced business, which means that the marketing department is often required to work simultaneously across a number of projects.
Attention to detail and the ability to effectively organise priorities and workflows will be critical.

The Role:

  • Cold calling and prospecting potential customers with a strong new business focus
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers in person and via telephone calls and written dialogue
  • Understanding customer requirements and providing solutions based on the company’s value proposition
  • Representing the company at trade exhibitions & events (potentially worldwide)
  • Confident individual that’s highly motivated and results oriented
  • Experience in people management and building a team across a matrix organization model
  • Good Communication and Collaboration Skills (internally & externally)
  • Methodical Approach
  • Good presentation skills
  • Being able to work effectively with anyone with different skillsets

The Candidate:

  • Experience within the IT industry (4-5 years + preferred)
  • A background within IT Server hardware / solutions sales
  • Cloud sales experience e.g. VMware, Openstack or Redhat
  • Must be energetic, self-motivated and able to work independently to exceed assigned goals
  • Self-motivated and target driven
  • Proficient in Microsoft tools (Word and Excel)
  • Strong communication skills and persuasive sales skills on the telephone and in person

Salary:

£35k + double OTE £70k

Location:

 Remote / 2x days in St. Albans office
