An opportunity has arisen to join a global leader in speech-to-text technology, playing a vital & pivotal in their customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives.

This exciting opportunity for a proven inside sales representative will see the successful individual join a growing team & a business who have been innovators in their market for over 60 years.

The Role

The role will entail working very closely with channel partners to generate interest, qualify prospects and close sales -with the main tasks including:

  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails
  • Understand customer needs and requirements, adopting Sandler Sales Methodology (training to be provided)
  • Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate Key Account Managers for further development and closure
  • Close sales and achieve quarterly sales targets
  • Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest
  • Maintain and expand your database of prospects within your assigned territory
  • Team with channel partners to build pipeline and close deals
  • Perform effective online demos to prospects
  • Work with Marketing Department to support development of Marketing plans & assets (in line with BDM Strategy), and be an integral member of the Sales Team to deliver collateral to expand the UK demand generation activities
  • Articulate the Philips Speech Processing Solution portfolio, values and capabilities to prospects through phone and e-mail communication
  • Manage all prospective clients and opportunities in SalesForce (CRM), ensuring all communications are accurately logged and necessary documents are attached
  • Always maintain a good understanding of the SPS Portfolio, Emerging technologies and competitive intelligence
  • Act as communication interface between Sales, Development, Marketing and Partner/Reseller
  • Provide input for monthly business review meeting

The Candidate

Core competencies required:

  • Proven inside sales experience
  • Track record of over-achieving quota
  • Strong phone presence and experience dialing dozens of calls per day
  • Proficient with corporate productivity and web presentation tools
  • Experience working with or similar CRM
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong listening and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Strong work ethic, ability to adapt to rapidly-changing environments and a positive attitude
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

Softer skills:
