Job Description

Sales Manager – The Role:

  • Achieve personal and sales team monthly, quarterly and annual revenue an activity targets as allocated by CEO
  • Account Management – Engage with assigned partners once recruited & provide insight and advice
  • Represent the business at own and associated industry events
  • Provide update on sales team previous week’s activity, and activity plans for the coming week
  • Team’s performance versus objectives, highlight actions require to address any under performance and challenge other attendees
  • Arrange, host and sell certified training sessions
  • Hold weekly 1-2-1 reviews with direct reports to review past week’s activity and coming week’s plans
  • Deliver training coaching and mentoring to sales team collective and individually as required
  • Chair sales build up meeting every Monday
  • Attend weekly 121 with CEO – Provide update on sales team previous week’s activity, and activity plans for the coming week

Sales Manager – The Candidate:

  • 3-5 years field sales experience, 2-3 in a sales management role
  • Self-starter, able to work on his/her own initiative
  • Proven new business sales skills
  • Relationship builder
  • Proven coaching skills (existing team of 5 is young, and in some cases very inexperienced)
  • “Player / Manager” – Will be selling him / herself as well as managing the sales team
  • Leads by example
  • High energy, strong motivator
  • Experience of selling accounting software and / or selling into Accountancy practices a real advantage but not essential
