Channel Account Manager
Salary:£35000 - £50000 + OTE
We are looking for a Channel Account Manager who are required immediately for a busy central London (City – St Paul’s) office, working for a leading-edge cyber security distributor. The CAM may not need prior experience in Cyber Security, but a level of understanding about general technology and corporate networks is a bonus. Some channel experience on managing IT Resellers is also a bonus.
The CAM role will be a mixture of managing Reseller partners, by visiting them, explaining the technologies that Progress has within their portfolio and creating opportunities within the Resellers customer base, on behalf of our Vendor (manufacture) clients.
- Develop and nurture new channel business leads, working on developing accounts alongside the sales teams and account managers within your partner base. The VAR’s (Value added Resellers) will be provided for you to manage, with ongoing business already
- Gain interest and nurture new business from end user potential customers for a wide range of solutions such as security for web, email, networks and threat prevention solutions
- Building up a rapport with Vendor manufacturers and VAR partners to be able to provide a better service for customers and improve sales
- Train our VAR partners and make sure they have what they need to create new business opportunities
You must be a self-starter, very presentable with a hard work ethic and be willing to learn. We are patient teachers with a great deal of knowledge between the management team and executives.
Ideally London or home counties based, you will need to travel within London to visit partners and support their sales function, with telesales work into their accounts to create opportunities for the technical and sales team to sell our solutions. You will be able to support the VAR’s in their sales efforts and give them pricing, information, business information and any other sales collateral as they need it.Back
