THE COMPANY:
Our Client is the world’s largest provider of technology solutions aimed at the corporate, public sector and enterprise markets. An opportunity has become available in their successful Public Sector sales team based in their UK HQ, very close to Heathrow Airport, near Staines. Middlesex.
THE ROLE:
This position is responsible for developing revenue through telephone contact with end users contacts within the public sector and partnering Resellers to achieve revenue targets for sales within their given territory. The Inside Sales Account Manager will be given a list of “named accounts” to work on, and also a geographical territory to cover. From time to time, you may be given additional data sources for End Users within the territory that are not currently named to them and these they must profile and add to their named account list as appropriate.
In this role, you will be will be working with the reseller partners, who will quote and supply the End User. It is therefore desirable that you have an understanding of the Channel model, and ideally, experience of working with Partners.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• To develop relationships with End User decision makers, understand their IT/networking requirements, and to define solutions which they can offer to meet those requirements.
• To ensure that individual targets are achieved/exceeded on a regular basis.
• To ensure that team targets are achieved / exceeded as detailed by the Client and agreed by both parties.
• To develop leads and revenue for new End Users in the UK.
• To ensure optimum levels of quality through all sales activity.
• To develop and maintain relevant industry knowledge and client specific knowledge.
Education and Experience:
• Must have business to business sales experience within a high technology environment.
• Networking or telephony experience in a Channel or End User environment.
• Knowledge and track record of selling into the public sector is desirable
THE CANDIDATE:
• You will need to have an articulate telephone manner with solid account management skills.
• Will have previous experience in a target carrying role.
• He/she will also have a formal sales training history.
