Our client is a very successful and privately owned company who are based about 1 mile from the centre of Basingstoke. They currently supply a broad range of IT services across a range of vertical markets including public sector, education and the corporate sector.
This role will be focused on the development of a set of existing clients and new prospects. In the first 3 months you will be expected to learn a lot about the technologies and services that are on offer and will be given the necessary information required to start a long term career in the IT sector.
The successful candidate will definitely need to have a have level of drive and determination to be successful in this position as you will be expected to make a high volume of calls to decision makers in order to ascertain their forthcoming IT projects. With the aim of uncovering new projects and potential business opportunities either to close yourself or (more likely) to book an appointment for one of your BDMs.
Candidates who are selected for this position can expect a comprehensive training programme and you certainly will not be 'thrown in at the deep end' with no support. However, a certain level of commitment is required from the candidates side to take on and learn the new technology and develop their own selling style and client base.
