Our client is an established and highly regarded organisation in the IT security sector.  Based out of their offices in Rochester, Kent.  They are looking for a Business Development Executive to join their well established team.

This opportunity has come about purely through organic growth to add to the existing team that is already very successful.

The role has a 100% focus on new business acquisition, although will retain and develop accounts won.

The role has approx 80/20 split in terms of office/field based, and involves outbound selling of IT services to national prospects across the public and private sector.

As an objective of the role is to generate and attend appointments, the ratio of phone vs face-to-face will depend on the individual’s success in this area.

The applicant must have a proven track record of meeting and exceeding new business targets and be able to conduct the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing.

The successful applicant would be joining a team where there is room to develop and work your way up; hard work and results, rather than time served, determine progression.

Objectives and responsibilities
Meet new business acquisition unit/revenue targets
Meet minimum activity levels in terms of outbound call volume, quotes, appointments etc.
Maintain a sales forecast providing a clear indication of leads identified and potential business
Ensure that individual, and thus team, targets are achieved and exceeded
Manage quotes, bids and tender responses efficiently and effectively
Retain and develop accounts won
Build long term sustainable pipeline

Experience

A proven track record os working in the sales arena - ideally within the IT services arena

Demonstrate previous successful sales performance both against peers and targets
Experience and confidence in making a volume of outbound cold sales calls
Ability to qualify and identify opportunities from initial calls
Demonstrate good understanding of full sales cycle from prospecting to closing
